Q: How much is it to have a figure made?
A: This depends on the game you’d like to extract the character from: prices are listed on each individually.

Q: What’s the ordering process?
- You checkout our avatar preparation guidelines.
- We meet in-world to capture the geometry and textures of your avatar
- After the capture, we tweak the model, retexture the figure and send you pictures of it from our 3d Applications as a more realistic view of what the figure would look like.
- If you approve of the figure, we bill you via Paypal and build your figure.
Q: How are the figures made?
A: The figures are built on a Z-Corp rapid prototyping machine. One 400th of an inch at a time, the machine lays down a plaster powder that it covers with a type of colored glue.
Q: How do the colors get applied?
A: Color is applied as the figures are built, this has a couple advantages over paint:
- Very fine texture details can be reproduced: words, tattoos and subtle things like fingernails and eyebrows all show up great
- Color actually extends slightly into the figure (like a candy shell), reducing the visibility of small scratches and bumps
Q. How long does it take to get my figure?
A. We’re able to offer the avatars relatively cheaply as we make them in batches and at off peak times. This means we can’t get them out as quickly as we’d like (which obviously sucks).
We’ll ship your avatar as soon as possible, but this may be up to 5 weeks after ordering.
Q. What’s your return policy?
A. If you don’t like it, you return it to us and we’ll give you your money back.
Q. How fragile is this thing?
A. Well, we certainly wouldn’t recommend striking it with a hammer or anything, but if your cat gets jealous of it and knocks it onto a carpeted floor it would probably be ok.
In the spectrum of frailty, we’d be somewhere in the middle:
More Fragile
- The Italian Leg Lamp in A Christmas Story
- Eggs
- The Queen Mothers Health
- Crystal wine glasses
- Fabjectory Figurines
- Teacups
- Glass
- Ginsu Knives
- Concrete Blocks
- Navy SEALS
Less Fragile
Q. What poses can be used?
A. Any pose that is “strong” or “tight” where strong and tight mean that your arms and/or noodly appendages are touching your body. This greatly strengthens the figure when printed and helps make sure that you’re happy with it.
Not that you wouldn’t totally be happy with a figure that had only one “real” arm and like a second robot arm, but still it seems easier to just choose poses that will give your figure maximum strength to start with.
We have a couple poses that are basically “hands on hips” and “hands on hips w/slant” that we can offer. However, we’re very willing to work with you if you have something that you think might work.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes! We’re happy to ship internationally and have sent figures all over the world.
By default, we ship internationally via USPS as their rates tend to be a fraction of what UPS or FedEx charge.
Rates typically are around $30 US and it takes 4 - 6 business days for your fabject to traverse the globe.
